KELPRO Bulletin is a peer- reviewed academic journal devoted to Library and Information Science discipline being published since 1997. It is an official publication of Kerala Library Professionals’ Organisation (KELPRO),Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala , India. The primary aim of the journal is to provide service to library professionals through prompt publication of theoretical and empirical studieson various facets of Library and Information Science. The Bulletin with the ISSN 0975-4911 focuses to provide an academic platform for practicing librarians, researchers,teaching community and other academicians to publish their contributions and make available the publication at affordable cost.
KELPRO is formed in 1993 by a group of enthusiastic professionals,practitioners and faculty who are interested in the advancement of basic and applied aspects of Library and Information Science. Since the inception of the journal, issues have been publishing in June and December every year and the journal is included in the UGC approved list of journals. It is indexed in Indian Citation Index and Guide to Indian Periodical Literature. The publication is regular and it has completed 21 volumes in 2017and the current issue volume 21, issue number 2 December is already published.
The first Editor (1997) of KELPRO Bulletin was Shri. M. Varghese, former faculty of Department of Library and Information Science of the University of Kerala and he left the editorship in 1999. Later, Prof. C.A . Augustine, former Library Advisor/University Librarian, Kerala Agricultural University took over the charge as Editor and continued until 2009. Dr. Humayoon Kabir S., former Head of the Dept. of Library and Information Science, University of Kerala became the editor in 2010 and he is continuing as editor of the journal.
